And lol @ all you folks trying reason with TheSoldier00.  I reckon he's an alt account made up by one of the more extreme fans around here just to stir things up.  There's no way someone can be so dense and remain so steadfastly wrong in his assertion with so much evidence to the contrary presented by various posters.

That's what i always say, people really forget about Pokemon, and the Pokemon franchise is the most succesfull RPG franchise in ALL REGIONS...

I agree that Dragon Quest is more popular than Final Fantasy in Japan and Final Fantasy is more popular than DQ in the West, but Pokemon pwns both of them EVERYWHERE...

OK. DQ IX has been the most pre-order game for almost a year.
"Kingdom Hearts DS which is set to arrive in late May, is now the second most preordered game in Japan trailing only Dragon Quest IX which has the been the most preordered game for close to a year now."

for ff XIII to get those sales in japan, it would have to launch with something like as 40% attach rate. Highly doubtful.

First of all Dragon Quest > Final Fantasy in Japn

Secondly DS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PS3

So really it is a no brainer.

Of course FF13 will do better world wide and will move more hardware.
