PS3 and PSP price drop unofficially confirmed, PSP 2 scheduled for late 2009:

PS3Gen french website reveals that an internal source, which has already proved reliable, confirmed that a price drop of the Playstation 3 and the PSP is scheduled for early June. The price drop may correspond to the E3 convention.

The PSP's price will drop to 169 euro (instead of 189 euro), and the new price of the PS3 is unknown, but its price could drop to 299 euro.

The source revealed that the PSP 2 is expected, and should be out before the end of the year.

if they have manufactured a cheaper version of a ps3 this is good news if true.

1 model should stay as it is and another entry model stripped down could be an ideal price point for someone who wants to purchase a ps3.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
