More like compared to the best looking games on the Wii, it's an 8.5/10. 8.5 is a very good score regardless. IGN gave a Wii exclusive a very glowing review, and you have someone in here screaming bias anyway. Go figure.

I'd love to play this game! I'm glad it's turning out to be great. This and Rune Factory Frontier will be my first two games on the Wii. :)

No, he has a point.  I'm not going to say Little Kings Story has comparable graphics to Mario Galaxy or Brawl.  That's just ignorance.  However, IGN consistantly downgrades Wii and DS games in the graphics and 'presentation' departments with a bias towards the 'big boys' (aka, the 360 and PS3).  In this way, the majority of their reviews are already bias against the Wii.  Because if you're reviewing a game to be 'less' than something else, then the majority of the games are going to come out as 7.5-8.9 scores.  As they have.  Each systems games should be reviewed based on the games on only its systems.  But they don't do that.

But there's many other problems with their reviews, including their constant flip-flopping on 'not enough innovation' to 'too MUCH innovation' based on their gripe for that game.  And of course, the seemingly fickle difference in enjoyment each reviewer gets out of a game or genre and the rise or fall in scores each game gets as a result.

i think is more fair to review a game based on the gen. of the system rather than just games on the specific system

but it still sucks that many Wii games get bad scores because of lower graphics or because they don't fit their tastes for example

IGN reviews suck in my opinion (mostly Wii games reviews suck)

i was really surprised actually with Little King's Story review, never expected so much positive thoughts from IGN

@Maxis: The reviewer is right though. The Wii has modest graphical prowess compared to all other current generation systems. Is this a slight at the system? No, it isn't. From the reviews I've read for the Wii games I've played, IGN rates games pretty fairly. They get things wrong like every reviewer though. They get points in my book for giving Game of the Year to an awesome indie game.

Don't the reviewers for Wii games on IGN only review Wii games? I have a really hard time believing that these Wii-only reviewers sit in a dark room somewhere to come up with ways to insult and treat the wii unfairly. The conspiracy that Wii reviewers are out to get the Wii by intentionally rating good games poorly is such rubbish, as is the notion that all these Wii-exclusive games are held up the HD standard.

Ultimately though, if you consistently disagree with reviews from a site/reviewer, stop reading the reviews from that site! You will be happier by finding a site or a few particular reviewers who share your tastes and to go to them for impressions and reviews. IGN can't be everything to everyone, and if you find they're being unfair, go elsewhere and stop complaining.
