Forums - Sony - The PS3 is Hot, But will it last?

I suppose you mean FFXIII, btw thats not the only good RPG game coming out.

Around the Network

from my understanding I didn't think anything substantial was coming out for the PS3 for the next 2 - maybe 3 months?? Are there supposed to be some good games coming out during this time? (I Could be totally off though as I too don't live in japan and don't know the release schedule).

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

Im not going to argue back because I myself dont know about PS3's japanese line-up, therefore I leave it up to you guys that know a lot about Japanese games.

DISCUSSSSS

i think, this is just a fraction of sales the ps3 will c when ff13 actually comes out. most gamers were prolly like " ill jusat wait for the ff13 bundle"

im expecting over 200k in japan when ff13 FINNALY gets released, but as far as that i cant c the ps3 maintaining its momentum

Ya, I agree, I think Wii and PS3 in the summer will be about even, then after christmas its over.

25k is the new 10k for PS3 in Japan.

It's just a phase and like every phase they will grow out of it and go back to Wii.

Monster hunter Tri (perhaps G will get it started)
All those RPG's being released soon (can't think of their names)

Abd the Big One:

Wii Sports resort - the way Wii sports sells and Wii Fit, there's no denying this game with WM+ is going to explode in japan (and the rest of the world for that matter).

I'm really hoping that will do well, but for some reason I get a funny feeleing that it's not going to set the world alight the way Wii fit/Sports did. perhaps the Wii Sports novelty factor may have worn off? I hope not - more people into gaming the better.

as for WM+, I get the feeling that it will be more like an accessory that's seen as a nice, but optional; similar to the PS360 DVD/BR remote accessory: nice of you know how useful it is but largely ignored if you don't. (I'd be in the former category incase you were wondering)

I However, I have leaned in the past never to bet on gut feelings.

Most impressively, there's no external power supply for the PS3; you just plug the included power cable--it's the same standard three-prong style you'll find on most desktop PCs--into the back of the unit and you're good to go.

I think you've just convinced me to go to bed.
