Previous incarnations of this game have had some pretty mediocre sales in the past...hm.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

   To think about it .. MS's conference in Japan was just 2 days ago. It doesnt make sense to announce an exclusive like this now.

   Multiplatform!

Doesn't mean anything, most of the stuff the showed at the event was multiplatform.  If it's a big announcement they're likely saving it for E3.

^   Front Mission isnt that big of a series to keep such an announcement for a western event. Actually, FM was never really popular and belongs to a niche genre. It basically only matters in Japan, if it's an exclusive, it would make sense to announce it 2 days ago.

According to NeoGAF (well, 2ch), it is multiplatform, but 360/PC instead of PS360.

The mix of RPG/RTS with online play sounds really intriguing. Especially since we roundeyes never got Front Mission Online!

It doesn't make sense to announce it in the west period.  It's still a FM game though.

The not a SRPG option seems more viable.

   Damn, that sucks. Front Mission 3 is the best sRPG I've ever played. High production values, great story, unbeliviable graphics for PSone (the game came out in 2000 though) And the game was very serious, not some lame game with robots designed to appeal to 7-years old. Although I heard Front Mission 4 and 5 arent that good.

   Still, I want it. It should be multiplatform.

What? high production values? great story? unbelieveable graphics? you're either not talking about Front Mission 3, or you ARE talking about Valkyria Chronicles, that actually fits into this description, unlike FM3, which I found mediocre.

As for this new FM, I hope for multiplat.

^   I am talking about Front Mission 3, that's actually the only game in the series I've played. And Valkyria had great graphics and storyline? Wat? I guess we've played a different game.

   Anyway, this thread is about FM .. so, I am fine if it's multiplatform 360/PC. Actually, I am fine as long as it's not a 360 exclusive.

Nah, we've played different front missions, dude. Valkyria Chronicles has a terrific art style and design, even though the graphics are definetely not the best on the PS3. However... the sound rapes just about any game. Great compositions, English voice-overs are as superior to the Japanese ones as you can get, gameplay is not repetetive ROFUP after ROFUP like FM3... I found FM3 graphics very weak too... not to mention weak music.
FM3's saving grace is the scale. It's big!

High production values? FM3? no. Not at all.

Anyway, I'm done with the off-topic here. I'll wait for more details on the game.. and please SE... no only on X360.
