Forums - Sony - will u buy the "playstation 4" , if its controller is like the wiimote?

i don't , i like my traditional control.

but i don't care if it's optional.

I think many people's gut reaction to this is based on the wii-mote in it's current form, but Nintendo or another company aren't going to do that. Any company releasing a motion type control will need to show an advancement or improvement over the Wii-mote or it's not going to have any kind of additional appeal. Regardless of people's feelings about motion control, the inclusion of IR in the Wii control is certainly advantageous and i can't see that working in a controller unless shaped somewhat like the Wii-mote.

The other thing to point out to people that haven't used the Wii-mote much is that it works fine as a traditional controller in games with little or no motion control, but it could certainly benefit from changes in the d-pad, and the number and size of buttons.

So this is where i see it going. A variation on the Wii-mote, how much i can't say, with more accurate motion control and IR, but more importantly a focus on button placement and size to ensure good functionality for more traditional type games that don't use motion controls. If Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft manage to do this then i think they will get the patronage of the self proclaimed hardcore assuming they have the games to back it up.

I'm sure most of the people who said no would drastically change their minds when games they like are on the system.

It doesn't matter to me whatever controls it has, if it has good games then it's worth it.

Plus it's not like you're going to be waggling the entire time. What are the Wii's buttons there for?

My main interest in the Wii has everything to do with its BC and emulation capabilities. Do you really think i'll change my mind?

wanna know something something? on ubuntu u can emulate everything til n64. on the ps3 lol

Yeah, but I want the BC for the Wii as well so I can play alot of games I neglected on the gamecube before I sold it. The Wii is perfect for Nintendo BC and emulation.

I like my Playstation just how it is, keep rolling out the good games.

i want a slightly upgraded dual shock controller with my playstation 4 system when it comes out, and not a controller similar to the wiimote. if the ps4 comes with a controller simliar to the wiimote i wont buy the system, what about everyone else ?

Ok, I'm hijacking your thread and putting more detail on the question

If Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all release systems with a 1:1 motion controller for each hand, which console(s) will you buy. Select any number from 0-3. If your answer is 0, then tell us if you will game on the PC, a portable, or give up on gaming.

@ OP, I expect you to answer this too

Wait... i'm still playing last gen. Have to get back on this one whenever i start playing current gen.

Nope if it's standart mandatory system.
Ok if it's dedicated accessory to certain games where it makes sense.
