not really?

everything on halo3 was done before just in different FPS.
they just added tons of other fps features into itself.

He meant the entire Halo FPS series not just Halo 3, there were innovations in the first and second not present in other FPS's at the time.

if only there had been a bloom of FPS after golden eye on console i was playing then and desperately looked for them even tps a good fallow up... and we had duke and then..... nothing really medal of honor came it was okay not great, various vehicle combat games (battle tanx rocked).

after halo there was a flood of good FPS for every console heck we even got the TC series which had been PC only.

if nothing else halo showed that you could make a mint by putting out good FPS for home consoles, and EA and ubisoft noticed

No, Halo is not responsible for many good games today, but it is the reason why so many shooters were/are ported to or developed for Xbox/360/PS2/PS3.
