Forums - Sony - Grandia Online coming exclusively on PS3

Back in September of 2005 news was broken that GameArts was going to be developing an MMORPG after their hit role-playing series, Grandia. Grandia Online is being developed for the Playstation Network, and excitement is once again bubbling about for the game.

The news was broken by a page on Gungho’s website, stating that their will be a playable demo for up to 60 lucky gamers. The event will take place in Tokyo’s Akihabara on May 20th, 2009. To commemorate the event, the original Grandia for PSone will be made available. We’ll know later in May if the Playstation 3 will be taking up arms in . Just another reason to buy a PS3, if you’re on the fence. …Yeah, I know no one else agrees with that statement. Please allow me to be happy though, okay?

It might....Grandia A SEGA SATURN GAME ported to the PS1 a long time later was supposed to be good...I never Bought even though I had a PS1 I refused to insult MY Saturn....

I owned Grandia 2 for DreamCast Besides the Battle system It was a Big MEH...

Grandia Online..... Don't Know...MMO's are a tuff cookie to swallow....

Never played the Grandia series, but I would be excited to see any new RPG on PS3. The only issue here is that Grandia Online is currently not announced as PS3 title. Famitsu Site does not mention about the platform, so does the official GunHo site. One of Japanese site mentions PC as platform. I hope I'm wrong here, but my guess is this will be PC game and not PS3 exclusive.

OMG!!!...OMG!!!...OMG!!! YESSSS!!! GRANDIA IS BACK!!!!!!!!!

It's more likely to be PC exclusive, but either way I don't think the game will be anything to brag about

dont tell me nobody knows about the Grandia series????

Blah, I wanted a normal Grandia, not an "FFXI." I already have WoW anyway.

Not sure why they'd go with an MMO, I'd think that'd limit their audience. It's not as if there are tons of people into Grandia as it is...
