Blade Lords are essentially Swordmasters. Why not wish that Trueblades could learn Bows?

I wish that you could get 3 items that were "promote into lord" items. You could use them on any unit (like a Master Seal works), but it turns them into either Great Lord, Master Lord, Knight Lord or Blade Lord (depending on the situation).

That would be neat.

I didn't say I wished for Swordmasters who can use bows.  I said I wish for a Blade Lord class.  Lyn's promoted self was a Swordmaster with bow proficiency exactly (caps are the same), but I'd kind of like something more interesting.  Not sure what that would be but I'm thinking the Radiant Dawn skill-system could make something interesting.

 Ah, sorry. Misintercepted you then.

About Ike: Aether makes him one of the best characters of the series. Without it he would still be decent, but that skill is way overpowered.

I'd say Haar's Stun is a fair bit better.

Oh, and one thing. Haar's stun makes your enemy unable to attack. That's in 38% of the cases, so if he attacks - he'll prevent the enemy from attacking twice. That's a fairly big bonus, maybe even as large as Ike's + 10% of damage healing.

while statistically it does look like Haar's is better, I mean seriously if they ever activate is anyone alive anyways for Haar or Ike, so stun is pretty pointless effect.  Plus with Ike you never have to worry about healing yourself.  Though pysics i always have a shit ton anyway so whatever.

but Haar only gets 32-33 or something speed max.  so in that later levels he stops double attacking, so since Ike attacks twice versus Haar's once, Ika has a better chance of his occult to occur.

Oh come on. On average Ike has 4 speed points more than Haar has. (34 vs 30). That's barely anything (considering they're different classes). Both do, with ease, double most enemies. Then there's some they don't double, but there are very few that Ike double that Haar don't.

If you're looking for a "run around and solo" on easy/normal, Ike might be better. But on Hard, I'd definitely take Haar

Haar was by far my best "slayer" in RD and even halfway the game he could take out an entire field on his own, but he's so incredibly weak to magic he really was a nuisance in the Endgame.

um the speed is like Haar max 33, and Ike max 38 pretty sure. Come endgame if you don't have 34 speed you ain't gonna be doubling. So I suggest using Jill instead of Haar. Miciah's team sucks hardcore anyway so having Jill pimp helps that part a lot.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him a nuisance but he was definitely at a disadvantage (which could be fixed by giving him Talismans of course).  The main hindrance is that you have Jill right next to him (if you didn't get discouraged with her early on due to her low HP and inability to double anything)  who has comparative, if weaker, killing stats overall but a much higher resistance.

My Ike's speed capped at 28 I believe in PoR.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Yeah, both Ike and Haar (Ike is actually worse of than Haar) have that problem.

That's one of the reasons Jill is so awesome (6 more res than Haar). She still has the bonuses Haar has (well, she has ~ + 150% damage from Stun, rather than + 199%), but her res is awesome, along with her speed and luck.

She lacks 5 str (that's the rough average through the game) compared to Haar though. (3 in the end).

yea but were talking about radiant dawn.  and is it just me or does it seem like almost everyone in radiant dawn maxes like everyone stat, even magic.

the promotion gains when they go tier 3 are just insane

Just having 3 tiers is enough to level stats off in terms of extremes vs averages however since the caps are not greatly increased between tiers, pretty much every unit is going to cap a couple things if not a lot of things.  In my Radiant Dawn playthroughs, it was uncommon for my endgame units to not have at least 6 stats capped.

IMO it's great as it really gives you the feel that all units are useful.  Of course, I also prefer more individual unit-based stat caps to generic caps (20s and 30s for everyone).

So it coming to the wii?
