My point was really that Shadow Dragon sold more than any previous FE in the last 13 years, despite being a low-budget remake that clearly wasn't spent a lot of time on.

Is shadow Dragon worth getting? I enjoyed the radiance titles so much I'd like to play some more fire emblem and I was going to buy shadow dragon. I don't mind too much if it's just a re-make as I'd like to experience the start of the series and see Marth in action.

I won't buy it if it's actually a bad re-make though... what's your opinion?

Well, it is generally considered to be among the weaker of the recent Fire Emblem titles, but I'm less of a fan of it than most are.

The game feels a bit dated. It's essentially Fire Emblem the way Fire Emblem was 15 years ago. It lacks pretty much everything that FE6-FE10 implemented. I'd much rather recommened getting Fire Emblem 7. (Or 8 for that sake, but 7 is a bit better than 8)

Sorry - I get a bit lost in the numbers, are those the GBA titles such as Sacred Stones? What number Fire Emblem is Radiant Dawn anyway?

Oh, right "everything that FE6-FE10 implemented" that must mean Radiant Dawn is number 10. Got ya.

Maybe I'll check out 7 and 8 if I can find them for the GBA then.

And I presume 2,3,4 and 5 are nes or snes titles that we can't play because they were only released in Japan. Or are some of them on the VC now? I haven't looked.

FE 1-5 have not been released on VC.  FE11 is a remake of FE1 though.

1 and 2 are NES, 3-5 are SNES. And yeah, they're japan-only. 6 was, too. None are on the VC. Well, I think 1, 3 and 4 are on the japanese VC, but none on our VC.

Though I know japanese so I can play them regardless :p But that's beside the point.

EDIT: I was wrong, Fire Emblem 3-5 are the ones available on the japanese VC.
