Every time someone makes a thread about a Pokemon MMO I get hyped up. It would be the greatest thing ever! But sadly this will not be made any time soon :S
I would really start playing Pokemon again and I would even pay for the online stuff as they would surely add new Pokemon and other stuff now and then.

Why do you think Nintendo won't do it? (Not saying that I don't agree with you, I'm just asking your opinion on why they aren't going to do it.)

IIRC, Nintendo was actually directly asked about this and answered with a flat "no."

Other statements mention that part of Nintendo's goal with Pokemon is to get people out and mixing together.  This is why they keep their "core" pokemon titles on the handheld and do not put them on consoles.

Well you got to love the N for their high-minded rules. It's nice but not nice.

Umm I just thought about the next handheld. The online will be much better obviously and so will the grafix. They will most likely be on the same level as the GC (ok maybe less). That way they can do the games they are doing on handheld but with a 3D world and MMO. I mean that will surely be the next step to make the franchise feel new again. Now the world might not be as big as we want it but it is a step in the right direction at least.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Trainer. I wouldn't want to be stuck as one Pokemon.
