What I find interesting is that CoD:MW2 does not list Wii as a platform on key release dates (last page of PDF).

Is this confirmation that there will not be a Wii version?

Given how mad the sales of DS have been in the UK I assumed it would be much closer to PS2 by now. Anyway should get there within the next 2 years.

I saw this on kotaku, they also have the LTD sales for the rest of Europe.

@JGarret... not all of Europe, just the countries GAME has stores in (France, Spain, Portugal, Scandanavia, Czech Rep. and Australia... Edit, actually the table I am looking at doesn't mention Portugal as being included)

For the "total GAME markets" we can also compare to VGC (total GAME markets is UK+Ire, Scandanavia, France, Spain, Australia, which can be seen on VGC seperated.... I think Portugal (not included in the GAME figures anyway) and Czech Republic are included in "other" for VGC (though Portugal may be included with Spain, I am not sure)

Anyhow:

Console : VGC / GAME figures (millions)

Wii: 11.25 / 10.3
PS3: 5.24 / 4.5
360: 6.29 / 5.5

DS: 22.81 / 21.4
PSP: 9.10 / 8.0

PS2: 27.74 / 24.9

-------------

All overtracked unless I am adding in something I shouldn't (and given they are pretty accurate in the UK it's other regions that are overestimated. We know Scandanavia is too high for all systems, although part of that could be Finland included in VGC, but that won't be huge)
Edit.... If VGC does add Portugal into the Spain figures then that would also account for some of the discrepancy too, but certainly not all of it)

I will work out percentages. (All are the percentage by which VGC is too high)

Wii - 9.2%
PS3 - 16.4%
360 - 14.4%

DS - 6.6%
PSP - 13.8%

PS2 - 11.4%

This also includes Australia.

Oddly though these numbers were released back in late Jan/early Feb.  I don't know why some websites are re-reporting the story again months later.

Lol... no, I meant the "other Europe" section of "total others"

This is the right section and date for VGC numbers http://vgchartz.com/ehweekly.php?date=39845

The UK figures are pretty much spot on, but it is clear there has been overestimation in some of the other regions GAME gave data for.... given the last Australian data was pretty sound as far as I remember, this means ioi/brett has overestimated France/Spain and or Scandanavia..... We know some discrepancy comes from Scandanavia where VGC is much too high, but that still doesn't account for all the difference... although it makes a good chunk of DS difference, which if you will see the percentages I wrote above is already the most accurate of the 6 consoles.

I have a hunch that the Spain figure makes up most of the rest of the discrepancy, partially due to Portugal, but also generally overestimating the region, which is probably why PS3 has the highest overtracking, as it is popular in Spain.
