Dude, if that happened you have no idea how happy I would be. You can keep VII and VIII. IX is the only good 3D FF game. <3 IX. It's my 2nd favorite FF of all time. |

It's the opposite. FFVII and FFVIII lost what IV, V, and VI had found. What they did was destroy everything that was done right in the early games when they transitioned into 3D, and made it into something else entirely. Hiranobu Sakaguchi requested the chance to try and return Final Fantasy to it's roots. Square granted him that, and FFIX was created... and it was what FF should have been when it transitioned into 3D. It regained the charm it had lost. Not only has it been praised by Sakaguchi as his favorite Final Fantasy, but Nobuo Uematsu has also hailed it as his best work in any series, the FF series included. |
Yes you are right, in terms with real roots, ff 9 was the step in the right direction, but to say that ff 7 and 8 were not in a different is hard to say, both are some of the top selling FF for a reason, 7 specifically
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
