What I think she was getting at is : I think it's okay that gay and str8 people can both have access to marriage but I personally believe marriage should be between a man and a woman.

I don't have any problem with this stance because she didn't say that gay people shoudn't be allowed to marry and that she will not rest until every gay marriage has been declared void.

The problem with her statements were, that she ended on her own personal opinion instead of staring with it, and she also said "And you know what in my country, in my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman". If she didn't add the country part I would have zero problem with her opinion.

If she had said: "I personally believe marriage should be between a man and a women, but it's great anyone is allowed to marry anyone they want to" It would have sounded A LOT better.

And if Christ is wholly true, this Nation (along with many others) would have us persecuted because of what we believe, because "the world hates truth that declares the world to be wicked".

But every Christian must carry their cross right? I know all you guys will hate me for what I believe, and what Miss California believes and everything. But what I care about is that you know WHY we believe what we believe.

Marriage is sacred. To us there is no straight marriage or gay marriage or anything like that. That doesn't even make any sense, because Marriage has little to do with sex. Marriage is about creating a family, a unity between a man and a woman that would be a foundation for a new family. It goes beyond love and simple family bonds. It comes from Adam and Eve, who together became the head of humanity itself.

Go ahead and love and fuck whoever you want. Whether we think it's wrong or right only frames your choices for you. But to change Marriage is completely different. It's more than just doing what you want, it's changing something that's supposed to have meaning, into something less. Like the mutilated meaning of Christmas, or the unclear meaning of Easter, or the mystified meaning of Communion and all that other stuff.

I care because this is just as much My America as it is yours. I'd rather have it righteous than tolerant.

There are some christians like you here in Europe. But they don't talk like they're living inside of some Action/Fantasy Film.

Well, first of all, humans are predators, that's the way it is. We should accept that fact, just as much as I accept the fact that my two cats kills and eats birds and rodents. But, because humans have free will, we can choose not to eat meat, and that is a perfectly accepted choice as well.

Now, this thread is not about vegans/vegeterians VS meat eaters. It is about equal rights to marry, and I don't see why you choose to focus your negative energy against individuals who are in favour of equal rights for all people.

I think it's amusing that christians believe that marriage is something exclusive to them.

But to get back to the origin of this thread, I have no problem with her losing the Miss America title based on her answer, not because I don't agree with her opinion, but the fact that the judges are there to evaluate the contestants based on their appreances and values and opinions. If her values don't match what they are looking for in Miss America, well then she wont win. I have no problems with her loosing based on her appearances either, because she didn't fit what the judges were looking for. I might not agree with the judges, or I might, either way it is not for me to decide as I'm not a judge in the contestant.

Judging from his posts he's just wired a little different than most. But whatever, he's entitled to his opinion as are we to disagree with him.

I think we've established that humans NEED to eat to live, and there are different ways to eat and different things to eat, but it's up to slimebeast to establish that anybody NEEDS to gas people that are ugly. I don't see a relation.

 Why? Most people who are gay are born that way. Probably well over 90%. I have never met a gay person who has chosen to be gay.

I've never seen any credibly evidence supporting the notion that 0-5 year olds are emphatically gay or straight...
