True, entitled 100%. She's still a bigot for having that opinion though and certainly didn't deserve to win. |
So while she respects and celebrates the fact that people can choose to marry and be with whoever they want, she holds a personal opinion that is different. I don't know why you'd condemn her for that.
I understand that people can choose whether or not to drink Alcohol, and I respect that. Personally, I dislike alcohol and I don't think it's a good thing to drink and I stay away from it.
Same boat, no?

Well, he was a gay guy trying to put forth his own agenda, so maybe his question should have been disqualified. However, since it is the politically correct or media thing to do to support every liberal stance under the sun, all that mattered was she said no to it and went against the liberal / politically correct / hollywood stance on it and lost as a result.
Behind the scenes they'll tell her that to make any real money in the entertainment industry she will have to support that agenda, so she will be all for it in the next sixth months if she hasn't already announced that she's changed her mind on the matter.

What about her belief is bigoted?
In spite of the "Hollywood-ifcation" of marriage over the past 80 (or so) years, the predominant view of marriage around the world is that it is a partnership between a man and a woman with the intention of raising children. The idea that marriage is essentially a ceremony to express your feelings about another individual is a fairly new invention, and you could argue it is a misinterpretation of what marriage is ...
Simply because someone disagrees with what you believe something should be does not necessarily make them a bigot ... Being that you are willing to jump to conclusions about them does say something about you though.
There you go...
LOL...she basically said that she was raised on those values.
That's the definition of brain washing.

i know he had his own agenda, but using this girl for his own agenda was a dick move, anyways gay marriage should be allowed though, if 2 adults want to get married it is their life, let them, the goverment or religion should not interfere with that.

Hey are you me? I did not say that. You're the one jumping to conclusions here.
All I know is that she would deny certain people certain rights that would do 0 harm to humanity because she herself is not okay with it. ... not okay with something that doesnt affect her AT ALL. Therefore I think she's a bigot.

I condemn her simply because I think her opinion is backwards and weak. Am I not entitled to think that way?

So it's your opinion that parents should not teach them values?
People get their beliefs from their enviroments.
It's called socilization.
Have you gotten any beleifs from your parents? Did they brainwash you too?

Marriage is supposed to be a sacred (meaning based on religious principles) thing. Therefore, if a man and man want to get married, then they should be able to bring out some recognized holy book that says men getting married is an acceptable thing. If they can't produce recognized holy scripture that says it is alright for men to marry men or women to marry women, then they shouldn't be allowed to get married.
On, the other hand I do believe in domestic partner benefits.
