so gamestop have VC marked to 29.99 and advertised in every gamestop store is not public? word of mouth spreads fast. not to mention the website shows it

Most, if not all, of my friends didn't know about it.
Even I didn't know about it until a few days in where I read a news post here about the sale.
It is public, just not in the sense of the grandness of scope.
Also, anecdotal evidence, VC wasn't really advertised to have dropped in price. I already knew what I wanted when I went in my Gamestop but I had to sift through a bin full of games for about 20-25 seconds just to find Valkyria Chronicles.

The first Final fantasy tactics?
One of the best for it's time. A definite yes.

FFT advance?
I personally don't think so.
