Forums - Nintendo - First Excitebots reviews.

GamePro

"It tries everything, and is maybe a bit too crazy for its own good, but it's definitely unforgettable. Your mileage will vary in accordance with your sanity."

- PROS: Constant minigames and a unique ranking system ensure races are never boring or meaningless.
- CONS: Game can get a little too crazy, and the graphics and sound are subpar.

Score: 70%

Nintendo Power

"The game's motion controls work great with either the Wii Remote or the Wii Wheel, and are a little more forgiving than in Excite Truck."

[May 2009, page 87]

Score: 80%

What do you think? Reviews are positive, but nothing extraordinary. I think 75% or so will be the avrg. score when all is said and done.

When is the game going to be released in Europe? Nintendo is seriously having the habit of letting the Europeans wait for so long.

75% is good. I think this game will be enjoyable beyond its score.

Lately it's been the other way around with Disaster releasing only in Japan/Europe, and Fatal Frame having higher chances of releasing in Europe than NA.

Can get a little too crazy? That doesn't sound like a negative... It sounds Krazy!!

Gamepro SUCKS

Im more psyched for this than PO and this doesn't even have a PAL release date yet

Someone make an OFFICAL EXCITEBOTS THREAD now

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Fatal Frame isn't going to be released in Europe, release dates have all been removed and been exchanged by to be announced. Comparing to what you Americans getting sooner than we in Europe, a crappy game like Disaster doesn't do any good for all the waiting the Europeans have to go through.

Any review score thats not EXCITE/10 is meaningless.

i didn't play it yet, but subpar graphics? after looking at all those gameplay videos i doubt that. so far this game is best looking racing title on wii(especially effects and some tracks looks incredible).

about this game being too crazy - well it's true. i'm still a bit skeptical.

I think the Gamepro score was a bit harsh.. Sounded like the pros far outweighed the cons..

If Nintendo advertise it, it could sell really well just by the shear awesomeness of the videos we have so far, it looks like crazy fun.
