Damn, this game is incredible. I absolutely love it. Just been playing for 4 hours and it felt like 20 minutes or so.

Artstyle is marvelous and the gameplay fantastic. Haven't had so much fun with a game since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. LKS might become my favorite game of this gen if the quality holds up (although I doubt it can beat Fire Emblem though).

Really a MUST BUY for anyone that likes Strategy and/or RPGs. This game is unique.

GRAAAA, YOUR JUST MAKING MY 2 MONTH LONG WAIT THAT MUCH MORE SHITTY!!!!!!1ONE

anyway, if you'll just ship me your copy of lks and your pal wii on overnight shipping, everything will be fine.

You only need the game: homebrew can unlock the region thing. So BengaBenga can save lots of money on shipping now! What a deal!

but homerbrew was ninja'd by wii menu 4.0, unless the crafty hackers have already foudn another exploit.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

I'd be stunned if they haven't yet. It's been over a week now, which is about all they've ever needed...

Yes there is already an exploit ...

But we should stay on the subject ... I really like the following sentence from the official website

http://www.littlekingsstory.com/

"In an age where next-gen graphics means "brown, and more brown," Little King's Story offers a wide palette of bright, vibrant colors as well as unique and endearing character designs ranging from the impossibly cute to the mind-numblingly quirky."

And I love how there's this bright, colorful site with happy music in the background...and a banner whose sub-headings include "World Domination" and "Absolute Power."

Man I want this game soooooo bad....

This game is totally brilliant. After 3 attempts on defeating a terrifying enemy - a Giant, Red... Turnip?, I finally found the right tactics.

The game might come off as a bit repetitive as some though. You have large missions, which are pretty much unique each time. Then you have some smaller side-missions.

There, you might end up fighting the same enemy a good 6 or 7 times (in different quests, not after each other). Of course, you meet them under different circumstances, so it pretty much gets tougher each time. Personally, I'm doing all the side-quests (that's not really a fitting term though. More like mini-missions), so this game should end up being a good 30-40 hours for me. If you find those repetitive though, and just do the core game, it might just take you a 20 hours to finish (note: I have only played 15 hours so far, and think I'm between 1/3 and 1/2 through. It could be longer though).

The brilliant thing about this game is, that whenever you come to a main-boss (as in, a main miniboss, not one of the main main bosses) you think "What the hell? How on earth can I defeat that?". Then after some time, you realize what you have to do. I'm not really sure what genre I would put it in. It's a strategy game, but it doesn't really play like a RTS. More of a "Strategy Exploration" game.

Edit: Gah, VGChartz 2.0 does this to a fair bit of my posts. I can't fix it right now (I think), so I'll have to edit it when it stops being retarded.

Edit 2: Tried making some random spaces, hope it worked.

When I write Fact: in one part of the post, and opinion: (or a similar word), it's not because I can then say "my opinion can't be wrong". It is to inform what part is pure facts, and which part I try to draw a conclusion in.

Seeing as this amazingly wonderful game is just around the corner for you americans this thread needs resurrecting. Such a beautiful, charming and addictive game for sure, i've currently sunk 25 hours into lks and i've still only defeated 3 of the kings but it's such a compulsive task doing the suggestion missions and finding he missing art work and weapons that i'd more than happily play another 10 hours before i progress any further with the story. :)

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

i'm wondering what difficulty you people are playing on. i was planning on just playing on normal when i get the game, unless you all thought that was too easy.

i guess i could start the game on hard and go down to normal if the need arrises.

it's really wierd, because i think i just had a lks inspired dream last night. i think i was playing swords and soldiers, and apparently in my dream it had a 3d mode where your units would follow you around, and you could assign then to do crap. i was playing the game in my dream while wishing i was playing lks.

****ING GET HERE FASTER, LKS!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT MUCH LONGER, GRAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!1ONE

Today's the day North Americans! Over six months after originally scheduled we can finally play-!

Er...what's that? It got what? AGAIN?!

...

Next month is the day North Americans!

Although there is a small consolation: they're adding the new Tyrant difficulty level...

I have not read all the posts, i don't have that much time. But here is a my take so far:

Length

I am about 13 hours in, I tend to explore all option and not race through games so I may be slower than avrage but I have only just beaten the 2nd King - so the game is looking long.

Difficulty

I am playing on normal. The day to day adventuring is not hard but great fun the missions and bosses take some serious strategy and time to work out. I think the setting on normal is great for the first play through I will try hard 2nd time.

Quality

This is the best game on the system that I know of next to Fire Emblem. It's funny and like most games that have a day night cycle you always want to just play one more day. There are lots of things you can see are going to come into play later in the game and loads of little side quests to keep things interesting.

It's now starting to take a top 10 seller spot in my local game shop so it should see improved sales in the UK if that's happening all round.
