I remember when seeing Call of Duty: World at War sales for the Wii, several people posting on the game's wall said it was hard to find, like depleted stock. Eventually the game got some adjustments upward and became a million seller.

I think GT Pro series, that game's wall had a person stating the game was constantly re-stocked as of late.

So besides the breakout hits like Wii Fit, which games have you seen in retail going through the same motions?

Valkyria Chronicles. Even when it was brand new, the only brick and mortar stores that I saw it at were Gamestop and Fry's.

Professor Layton. I have been looking for this game for like 4 months now. Granted I have only checked Game and HMV once during that time. Instead I have been checking Tesco and Asda. But have not had any luck finding it. Until saturday that is where I found three copies at Tesco. I took one to the counter and took Madworld which was on offer for £20. But when I got to checkout I remembered my wife had a £3 off voucher so I didn't get them. Went back the next day and Professor Layton was gone and Madworld was up to £30.

Guess the moral of the story for me is when you find an opportunity take it. My wife couldn't believe I saw Professor Layton and didn't get it cause of a voucher when I had been looking for it for so many months.

Now, in Portugal, it's much worse, not due to many sales, but insufficient stock. I could be here all day. Gladly I buy everything over the Internet.

I think when I was looking for the Guitar Hero:Legends of Rock game. They had it on the PS2 but I was looking for the PS3 version.

I work at a videogame store (won't say which one just in case I bash it). We haven't had box 360 Left 4 Dead in about 2 months, we had 5 copies of Valkyria Chronicles at launch and that was it and Madworld is only in stock because it's on sale for $40.
