Forums - Gaming - The price of the controllers

Are they expensive? Last week I was at a friend's house having a blast on Soul Calibur IV online, and in the middle of the action the controller slipped from my hands (the headset was connected to it and I got wrapped in the cable, and the controller fell of).

He said: "Be careful dude!!! One of those costs 50€"

I was like: "WTF? 50€???"

Is that fair? 50 bucks for a controller that is almost the same as Xbox original? I mean even the wiimote with all the technology inside it costs 40€ why should an old school controller for the 360 be so expensive?

Same for the PS3 pad. I don't know the retail price for it but it should be something around 50€/$.

Recently I was pissed of to know that Wii Motion PLus attachment will cost 20€. WTF??? I have to pay more 20€ for a piece of plastic that does what the wiimote was intended to do in the very beginning. Even 10€ wouldn't be a fair price!!!!

Are we being explored? Companies have losses on their consoles (well except Nintendo...) and they try to compensate it selling controllers at an insane price?

All them extra buttons cost, y'know.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

well all accessories are over priced. Its a way for them to help recoup the lost money from consoles

Long Live SHIO!

A fair pricetag for the 360 controller would be what? 25€???

And as for the price of Wiimotion +

You get 1 free with WSR
and you'll probably get 1 free when you buy Red Steel 2, which everyone should do btw.

So that's already halved the cost. Maybe there will be more bundles/sales

Yeah pricing on PS3/X360 controllers is more or less rediculus but official keybords/cables etc are even worse.
