That's where negative sales come in.

Current Wii sales in Japan: 7.99 million Current PS3 sales in Japan: 3.08 million Current Wii over PS3 gap in Japan: 4.91 million This last week's (week of April 11th, 2009) PS3 over Wii gap in Japan: 0.000683 million How many weeks will it take for PS3 to pass the Wii in Japan if they both sell at exactly this last week's rate forever? 7,188.87262 weeks That's 138.24755 years. On that day, I shall NOT bump this thread. |

Assuming Brett modified himself into a cyborg and lives hundreds of years more to keep VGC alive.
Shouldn't the title be the other way around? The PS3 was having its usual abysmal sales in Japan until it received a string of high profile releases nearly back to back. After the FFXIII demo there is nothing notable that I can think of coming to the platform anytime soon besides the Vesperia port and FFXIII itself. The hardware is steadily dropping and no software will be pushing it for a looong time.
On the contrary the Wii's software situation should start to improve marginally from now going into Summer time with titles like WSR, Excitebots, Monster Hunter G, Punch-Out, Arc Rise Fantasia, and Sin & Punishment 2 before erupting with a slew of heavy hitters in the Fall/Winter like Samurai Warriors 3, Kirby, Monster Hunter 3, Tales of Graces, FFCC: The Crystal Bearers, and possibly Dragon Quest Swords 2/Pikmin 3/Wii Fit Plus/Zelda and anything else that will get stealth-announced in the coming months or at E3.

I hope that's the hemp talking about "salles," because every game I listed for Fall/Winter will do 300k at the least. I can only assume you're on something if you think games like Dragon Quest or Samurai Warriors are in the same sales league as Muramasa. This site does have charts. You should try using them sometime.

That was the most pathetic troll attempt I've seen a long while.
Why people keep on looking at such mission impossible mission. If Wii not sold any unit in Japan from now on, PS3 have to sold 50k every week and it take 100 weeks to achieve it...
And Wii Sport Resort, MH3 and the most important RPG in Japan DQX is in Wii side...
I haven't put price cut and new color factor into consideration yet...

Exactly. And there may be more coming; Nintendo just hasn't announced them as of yet.
I think the PS3 can be successful along with the wii in Japan ( like DS and PSP)
The wii will regain its momentum once the big titles hit back
