1. The PS3 only sold like 1000 more units than the Wii this week. The Wii hasn't had a major title in a while, but the PS3 has had like a series of super mega titles... and only in Japan has there be any change in sales. When the Wii sells what other consoles sell, it's doom and gloom, Nintendo is dead. I'll only buy that if we're willing to say that 360 and PS3 are dead and have been dead ever since the Wii launched.

2. Animal Crossing on the Wii has sold almost 3 million copies. Wii Music has sold 2.5 million copies. Are we really at the point where we're gonna say if a Nintendo game only sells like 3 million copies, it's a flop? I'll buy that only if we're willing to say the same for other platforms. If a 360 or PS3 only sells 3 million copies, thats a flop.

3. I feel thats a bad argument because it ignores two years of data and ignores every other region. But even with that, you look at current sales data on VGchartz. The US top 20 has: 6 Wii games, which is the most out of any console.

4. Thats just flat out false. Even if it's true, the Wii usually dominates the Top 5. You may have a 360 game as #1, then the rest of the list is Wii games... and the next month that #1 is almost off the chart while the Wii games have legs and dominate for like the rest of the year.

5. LOL, Lukewarm Wii sales are when it's more than the PS3 and 360 combined.

I think the person that overestimates the Wii is you. Sales of 3 million units is considered a flop, sales that are the competition combined are considered lukewarm, and dominating software sales charts is considered a poor performance.

There are things about the Wii that its biggest fans tend to overrate, but I really don't think sales is one of them. The magnificent sales of the Wii is something we can all agree on.

How can a system's popularity be overrated? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The Wii itself could be considereed overrated by some, that makes sense. Do you know people who get excited about the popularity of the system and rate it?

I give the Wii's popularity a 10/10!

My girlfriend loves it.. Does she not count because she doesn't rant on the internet? The Wii has a library full of shit, absolutely FULL OF IT! however you can't say the Wii isn't popular, it's the most popular console ever on a basis more than just internet review sites.
