Multiple colors always drive sales, and a white PS3 just looks great! So, why haven't they done this yet?

maybe i am totally off....but didnt the ps2 come only in silver and black... and ps3 in white/silver and black.

They have done some limited editions, but mostly in Japan. I think we will see some new colours at E3

PS2 only had silver and black. PS3 only has black and silver right now. Silver won't be released until this summer.

Sony are trying to keep unit cost's as low as possible , i'm not sure how much producing different colours would affect the price but it's certain it would be more costly.

They can't afford to. The dye would put them over budget and they would have to axe something else like backwards compatibility... oh wait...
