The only part I disagree on is the download time, it's pretty fast for me, actually it almost use my whole bandwidth. Maybe you should try using the wired connection.

Good review, and I like how you put your love of the 360 to one side.
I agree with everything except the final score.
IMO everything above 8.9 is for products that really brought something to the market... and the PS3 did nothing spectacular for that (more problems than good surprises...).
To me, the only console worth of a 9/10 on the market is the Wii, not the PS3 (neither the 360...).
Compared to the succes of the PS2 (9.5/10) I would say the PS3 can barely achieve a 8/10...
Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.
Great review. I agree with almost everything you said.
However, in the software category, I'm feeling a distinct lack of top draw JRPG's (I'm waiting for Demon Souls, ToV, FF13 and vs). Top draw being 8-9/10 if not labelled final fantasy or Dragon Quest. Otherise it's a pretty healthy lineup these days.
Great review, unbiased and very informative as well. I own both consoles and totally agree with just about everything you said. With the exception of PSN downloads, mine are reasonably fast.
Its really great to see someone who can be objective. Lately it seems the "rose colored glasses wearin' fanboys" are out in full force, on both sides.
Kudos!
Tifa got MOVES!

I don't agree with the final score youu gave considering the conclusion.
9/10 doesn't give much room for the improvement that you mention.

Pretty good review.
Did you try Linux on the PS3? Did you try the wireless print server functions? Did you use the local printer function? Did you try to DVD upscaling and chroma scaling? Did you test out the CD upscaling? Did you play any games on dedicated servers and not games created by users which are P2P? Did you try to power saving options? Did you try video streaming via the web browser? Did you try using the photo options for native 1080p photo viewing? It would be nice, if you added all there is to review about the PS3.
BTW, the PS3 does have backward compatibility (PS1 and PS2 Singstar games so far).
Very nice information piece and review. Thank you for your unbiased OP....:)
A very good read. Thanks i enjoyed your thoughts on the PS3.
