Forums - Gaming - Assassin’s Creed 2 in 2009 - Super Sequel Or Flop Of The Year?

I liked AC1 for the single reason is that I like the sanbox environment. I will enjoy Venice far more than the middle east(which I enjoyed a lot, but I want more water). So even if it's repetative I will still be going on vacation in rennesiance Venice regardless if the game is good or bad.

I hope though that when they mean "all current generation" they either refer to Wii or PC. Otherwise it will be a long wait until the PC version comes out. Though I think Ubisoft definition of current is the same as Capcoms.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I hope they introduce some great gameplay that thrills...Venice..so we shall expect it in waters..where AC1 memory couldn't access.

The repetition was not a big deal for me at all.... overall i think the game was great.... i can't wait for the new one and i am super psyked that its coming this year.... day 1 fer me

The first game was received with mixed reviews but still impressed many bringing sales up to over 7 mn across 360/ps3.
One among the first next gen type game to hit consoles in 2007 end.
However the negative reviews were mainly disturbing owing to the repetitive nature of the gameplay. This was the only reason stated for why the action assassination piece had failed to deliver to the fullest.
The sequel shud definitely be super as this time the devs(comprising of 250 individuals) are putting their maximum efforts for utmost perfection. We are promised with a full package.

Although yes I believe it will be more super sequel-ish, they've made me suffer through that first game already so they'll have to pay for that by me not buying it. Not that it will really matter.

I would like to give a personal "fuck you" to all gaming sites/shows that gave part 1 anything above 7.5. Thank you for making me waste my money. Especially you, x-play.

I agree, I won't even be reading the reviews for this game. If a review does mention "repetitive" though, then I'll probably pass. I can't even really trust a demo, because I need to know if I'm going to be repeating what I did in the demo over, and over, and over, and over. I traded this game for Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and I got dissapointed twice in a row =( Ubisoft dissapointed me again when I bought Farcry 2. What happened during their golden age last generation?
