Reviews are opinionated but they also need objectivity. This is why VGChartz is by far a more trustworthy site for reviews than these. Only sites like Cheat Code Central and a few others are whats left of truly objective reviewers.

@dahuman - that is because we are still new to the review scene. Doesnt mean that we are a poor review site. It means the complete opposite actually. We can be more objective as we dont have paychecks behind our reviews. We have the responsibility to tell our readers what we see in a game and explain it objectively. 

We still have over 160 reviews done since we started with a pretty good average of around 25 reviews a month.

 Well the scoring system for one is terrible as it borrows from ign's floating point numerical scores which provide a rediculous amount of potential scores for the reviewer to award. I feel as everyone's feelings on a game are to a certain degree subjective, it would be beneficial to change to the 5 star system, which I believe would result in giving the reader a better idea of the quality of the game, as it would allow the reviewer to be more objective with their opinions.

IGN, G4, and of course DCEmu :D (ever heard of them? No, I don't blame you... :( )

Well this shows you have no idea how our scoring system works. Our scoring system is way stricter than you seem to think.

No overall score can go above the highest base score or lower than the lowest base score for example. We do not average our scores though. We try to fit the score as respectfully in between the base scores while reflecting the written content

what I'm trying to say is that I don't really read you reviews much because there are usually 10-20 already out there, I mean, I use your forums and check NPD numbers a lot which this site is the best for so I don't see that as a big deal =P.

its another source to base an opinion on a game. If your stuck on a game purchase even after reading the 10-20 others and we have a review for that game. Take a read and maybe it can sway your buying decision.
