And yes, you can tell the difference when you step online on a PC and console, I actually get enjoyment out of online gaming on consoles unlike PC gaming which nearly always causes headaches and problems hence me giving up on pc gaming and sticking with consoles earlier this year (even though i own a quad core pc, 4gb ram etc) even though I didn't even pay for my PC games like millions of other people, why pay when you can get them for free? this is the reason pc gaming is dying and the reason game sales are falling year on year lol,

But the problem is, our main TV broke and we needed a new one, HD tv's have fallen in price in the UK as this is the only type of tv they sell now, so we got a top spec 52" 1080P HD (100hz, 5x hdmi, bluetooth, usb, blar blar) for a really good price (£589 with discount - hardly a fortune for a full hd tv), we needed a tv anyway so why not!

I paid almost double this for my PC late last year and what a waste when I could have got a PC for £299 that would do everything I need it to do seeing as I won't be playing games on PC anymore.

If you didn't know that, you might be one. Basic things you learn in computer science is that average joe is a fucking idiot. Thats why there are consoles after all. Some people just don't have basic skills to use computer and they need something easier to use, if they want to do some computer related stuff like playing.

Too bad that just about in every job you need to use computers today. If you can't use them and they give you headaches, you have quite few options from slave like work to cleaning lady jobs. Well, if that suits you. :)

As I have stated before to you, I believe the matchmaking/party system is the future.  This is deeply ingrained into Live's infrastructure.  I would first like to know what you think the short comings are of the online systems. 

But I also must remember that I am talking to a person who thinks it is his god given right to use a product that of which he has not been given permission to use.

And LAN parties are much easier on consoles by the way.

Actually, there's a thread out there (one of those religioni/god/beliefs) where Kasz gave me valid, true, applicable arguments and I honestly conceeded to him. The problem is very few people can give me valid arguments, not my fault most fail.

vlad, provide me some actual arguments instead of blanket statements and we can discuss the matter.

I think matchmaking is retarded, it's nice to have but only as a back up to normal server choosing. It'd be nice to jump in a game of equal ranked players, however that's not always the case. More often than not you want specific mods, addons, etc. on the server with specific rules, settings, etc. Something most console players don't even understand since mods/addons/settings/etc. don't even exist the way they do on the PC.

Why PC onine is better? First off, as stated earlier, avergae Joe generally plays on consoles (not saying everyone that plays is an idiot, even I have to play so I can call games shitty), and as I stated earlier, average Joe is a fucking idiot. What's worse is that I don't have a nice little chat interface as a buffer and I have to listen to said idiots to actually communicate in the game.

Then there's the whole matchmaking thing, which completely ruins the experience. I want to join a server with the least ping, with a specific mod, with specific people, and also know that people can jump in and out at any time they want to, even if there's 1 minute on the clock or 3 more frags to be scored (obviously the jon in whenever doesn't apply to RTS games, but they don't exist on consoles anyhow, good oens at least). Yes, when the fancy strikes me I'll join a server of equally skilled people, but that takes a backseat to mods, settings, and maps.
