Because Gran turismo is BY FAR the best racing sim in the world, thats why it needs a prolouge

This...and fixed!

Can I clarify prologues are about the story before the story? Because they are. Pro means before, while logue comes from the Greek for speech.

It builds some serious hype, that's for sure?

So they did it for money. That's it?

The prologue is a little preview of what to expect in the next main title of the series. Personally, I think they should concentrate on finishing Grand Turismo 5 and make sure they not only release on time but they are sure the game is done. I don't know why Polyphony Digital is concentrating so much on updating the prologue.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

I believe prologue is a combination of the following for them

- Like a Beta (they can listen to what customers want in the full version)
- Gives the fans something to play until the full game comes
- Help recover costs for implementing new features, cars etc..

The prologue does mean before the full GT5 as most GT Prologues tend to be teasers only and not really resemble the final product. A fancy demo in other words.

For me there is no car simulation game to date that can beat GT5:P. Im still playing it till this day and will continue to play it until the full game comes out. What other 'demo' has done that?.

Because otherwise Sony's management wouldn't put up with 4-5 year development cycles?

Because they need to remind people that the game actually exists: if they hadn't given the fans anything before the game releases in 2016, people would've forgotten the franchise exists at all and nobody would buy the final game.

easy money for Sony.

They made a prologue because I asked for it personally, I didn't want to have to wait for GT5 to come out which I knew would take ages.

to cover development cost of the full game and give the consumers a taste of what the full game would be like
dats how i see it
