Forums - Microsoft - Why do so many 360 fans defend Microsoft so much?

The same way that Sony fans defend their consoles and they both tend to bash each other's console. Personally, if someone said that the PS3 broke down each and every time, I would also point out that that hasn't happened with mine at all.

So I can see people doing the same for the 360. The fact that they applaud MS' customer service is a bit of a reach for me though. If you have a lot of faulty hardware because of a known malfunction, you don't have a choice if you're MS. It's not because of some fan service, it's because of a "here, we are fast and give you some freebies, now forget we ever had to take back our console because it broke down". All nice and peachy that they give you free stuff and all, but all in all, your console broke down.. THAT is what is important, not the tissue for the bleeding one is given.

Hmmm.... lets think about that for a little while to... <_<

I can only talk for myself, but a lot of technical misinformation is floating around and a lot of faked negativity (even from the US media, it sometimes almost looked like war propaganda).

I like the PS3 a lot, Sony is similar to me as Philips, Panasonic, etc as a whole, thus I don't understand why they are attacked so much on forums and have been misrepresented especially by the US media.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Fanboys, end of discussion

Why do soldiers defend their country?

Both Microsoft and Sony are pretty bad in terms of customer care... MS made bad hardware on the 360, the Sony mad bad hardware on the PS1 and PS2.

However Sony still holds the record for the biggest insult to customers... putting a trojan horse to be installed on the PCs of legitimate consumers, and then instead of apologizing, saying it's no problem since people don't know what's a rootkit anyway.

EDIT - Oh, I almost forgot the icing on the cake... When Sony issued a removal tool to remove the rootkit, it actually installed more hidden backdoors which couldn't be uninstalled.

MS's rootkits have much more market share.

The same reason a lot of PS3 fans(boys) and Wii fans(boys) try to defend Sony and Nintendo all the time...you can call them 'unpaid employees' or whatever, always willing to root for those faceless companies.
