Ok after playing mass effect and falling in love with it I want to try out some of biowares other games.

I heard both these games are very good with Kotor being the better of the 2

but see I heard it is set in the starwars universe which I am not exactly a big fan of

I can't really say which is best, because I only played KoTOR, but I will tell you that KoTOR is fucking awesome!

I played Jade Empire and I liked it.

Yeh I was already strongly leaning towards jade empire....may I ask also which game has more replay value

jade empire is cool but the problem is this:
Kotar 2 is half as long as Kotar, and Jade empire is half as long as that
it does have john cleese tho

but seriously play em both, and you say 'why did they make mass effect and not Kotar 3?'

definetly kotar, you could beat jade empire twice in one day

kotar also actually added stuff if you were playing 2nd and third time, very neat.

why not just jump to Baldur''s Gate 2 (best RPG ever) which is far better than Kotor/JE/ME combined.

now you obviously mean the pc games

but what if you dont like swords and sorcery stuff?
