Nintendo has been always the punching bag of the videogame world, back in the old days it was the "real gamers" (Amiga and Commodore 64 users) against this thing called console with the simplistic control and family fiendly image, then the famous "Genesis does" with Sega, after that the Nintendo 64 fiasco with the lasck of support for the CD and mature games, then the Gamecube era with "OMG Nintendo doesn't sell, is doomed", and finally the Wii era.

funny thing is they've always made money instead of loosing it, I think the industry and people with negative thoughts about Nintendo have a lot to learn from them, they are pretty much the ideal in the business from past to present. then again, we need to remember that these people don't always write things they really feel, they just want people to read their things to gain some publicity for themselves when they in fact know it's the opposite.

Nintendo is a Ultra-conservative company that few times try something new and they're super secretive about what they're doing. Companies like that are not very popular with the fanbase, but after all that's why Nintendo has more than 100 years of experience.

I find it hard to understand why the fanbase would dislike them but then again, I'm not a fan of anything so there is noway I'd know lol ^^

The market is scared as usual but MHG is coming out in 3 days, you gonna bet against those odds?
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
