Finally, the crap is not selling good on the Wii. Less shovelware coming =)

I get petrifyed anytime people talk about nintendo falling everytime a game doesn't sell well. Like they dream about it everytime.

Never heard in my life of deca sports 2 nor has it been mentioned here.

An abbreviated history of Wii Trolling:

2006-2008: The Wii should be ashamed for making shovelware crap like Deca Sports into a million-seller.

2009-2???: The Wii failed to sell the high-profile Deca Sports 2 on day one!!!

Fine with me. I'm glad that a piece of crap bombed.

I don't get how they think Nintendo is dying when they have been doing much better than Sony (and much MUCH better than MS) in Japan--and I mean this respectfully. So what if they have a slow month or 2?

yea, i mean the PS3 is still tracking behind the GC in Japan that only ended up with 4 million sold.  Deca Sports being a high profile game is laughable.

If Deca Sports 2 had sold well, it'd be "all 3rd parties will become Wii shovelware factories because it's what makes them money" confirmed.

If it doesn't sell well, Nintendo is about to crash and "the Wii is a fad" confirmed.

So I take it that games that sell 2 million are no longer high profile? This gen is so different from last gen. Also, did the PS2 ever have a game go from 2 million sold to the sequel bombing?

Don't forget that it works for all titles: if you buy this light-gun shooter, it means you want more in the future (true for me, but that's a whole 'nother story). If you don't buy this light-gun shooter, it means you're not interested in more fleshed out traditional titles.

True, Deca Sports 2 has been paraded around for months now. Remember all the coverage it's been getting up to release? I, for one, have its release date marked in my calendar. Day One, baby.

What, it's "bombed" after a day? Damn, talk about high-pressure!

And yes. For example, the equally high-profile Shrek 2 sold 1.71 million, while the uber high-profile Shrek 3 sold less than a third of that.
