Forums - Nintendo - Candles can Replace Your Sensor Bar

I'm surprised VGchartz members didn't know about this. Anyone can try it out by unplugging the sensor bar and replacing it with candles.

I'll post the link.

oh, and the candles don't have to be that big. I've used small candles. And usually they say the room has to be dark but I've tried it in the light too and it works.

All you need is two candles. Place one on one side and one on the other with about some inches of distance. Put them where you would put your sensor bar. After that, use your Wii remote and should work.

Yep. I did this back when I first got my Wii. It's common knowledge, I thought.

This is old, like, Wii launch day old.

Who's going to use candles? Seriously?

It's a nice alternative if you don't want to pay or if you have to wait to get a new sensor bar. My sensor bar broke too and until I got a new one, I used the candles.
