Forums - Gaming - Does anyone just have one of the next-gen consoles?

Just asking because I only have Xbox 360. Every console generation I always pick one console as my primary console and leave the others in the dirt.

NES-Genesis: Well Sega Genesis, I couldn't decide cause parents brought it for mePS1-Saturn-N64: I asked for the PS1 and that was itPS2-Xbox-Gamecube-Dreamcast: Asked for PS2 and left the others behindPS3-Wii-Xbox 360: Brought the Xbox 360, and thinking about whether to buy all three this time?

Do others feel the same way or do you have to have all 3 to be satsified?

I have a Wii only. I will not be buying anything else this gen.

I only have a Wii so far, because it was the only of the 2 consoles, PS3 and Wii, that I could find at their launches.

Also, the PS3 is as expensive as, well....something really expensive.

I say, buy another console, but only if you think the investment is really worth it. To put it more specifically, don't buy a console unless you could name at least 10 games you would want to play.

Yes, 10.

It's devotion.

But from the current gen I only own a Wii and don't plan to buy another system because the Wii library (current and future) appeals the most to me and the other systems don't offer that many games I am interested in. Also, I can play the 360 at a friend's place.

Cool thats how I feel about the 360, I like the software thats out now and in the future.

Well money is a factor with me. Knowing that I got bills to pay and I just got done purchasing a Xbox 360 Elite for $450. I just feel thats it for me. I want a Wii but I can't afford to buy games constantly for the 360 and the PSP. Since they have alot of titles out. But now I want the Wii and I'm looking at my wallet like "Oh no, I will stick with my 360 till the end". Until the day comes and I don't see the games I like then. I'm swapping out and getting either the PS3 or Wii.

yeah i just have the wii at the moment. In the last two generations I just had one console (PS1/2) but this generation the Wii offers something completely different, but i still like the classic controller consoles so I will be picking up a PS3 when the price drops to around £300 ($600).

Well, if money is a factor for you, just don't buy another console. When I bought the Wii, I was busy spending all my money on games like Bully and Okami, and of course, tons of PC titles. Even if I had the money to buy Wii titles, I didn't like any of them.

Of course, if you really want to buy one, then buy the Wii. Even if you can afford the initial cost of the PS3, games, extra controllers, and other accessories will cost you near $1000. Hell, I just spent 120 bucks on a Wiimote and Super Paper Mario. But I'm satisfied.

I have the Wii and will only be the Wii. All of my favorite games are on/gonna be on the system. Am I missing out? I don't think so. I also have the DS.
