I don't know SPlinter Cell so I don't know how different those were, but again, this is a different game. What you're doing is similiar to calling Super Mario Bros 3 and Mario 64 the same game because they're both a platformer where you solve jumping puzzles starring Mario where he's trying to save the princess when they are in fact very different games. One final time-- the Wii version is not a port and it's not just a dumbed down somewhat different game. It is a different game. |
If Mario bros 3 was called Mario 64 your example would be valid. Ghostbusters wii "the same game" but with stuff taken out and stuff added in. Look i'm not saying the Wii version will suck i'm sure it will be ok, all i'm saying is that the Wii version should not have to be "cartoonified".
In Splinter Cell's case the 360 version was created by another studio and was horrble. It followed the same story line, but had different (awful) levels and most of the time you did not even need your night vision, unlike the other versions. It was still the same game though just crappy.

I'll get the Wii version at Day 1. |
I love that inexplicable blonde pompadour that Egon sprouted.

Man. The more I see about the Wii version the more I want it. Looks like $100 will be spent that month. Conduit and Ghostbusters FTW.

Don't give me that. Realistc games looked fine last gen, why the hell would they not look like that on the Wii. Everyone says that the Wii is as strong as an original Xbox. If that is the case then they could make it look as realistic as the any game on the xbox. You know why they did not do that? Cause the Wii is a kid's console and this style appeals to them more. Thats the hard truth. Get over it.

lol.
I'm 33 years old. I enjoy my Wii. I also do and would enjoy a PS360. However, with my family and work I don't have time to play more than one console, so I bought Wii due to certain Nintendo branded games.
My teenage brothers have a 360 and routinely bust my balls for not buying one. However, everytime I get a new game they play it at my house a lot. In fact the kids I know (immediate friends/family kids) aged 5-16 all talk and hype more about their 360's than their Wii's. They all play them more, mostly due to FPS and online features. Two areas that may finally be eliminated with the coming of Conduit.
Just because something is not imaged in a realistic manner does not make it kiddie. Certain games are definitely kiddie, but, the differences between the Wii and PS360 versions of Ghostbusters don't seem to be a kiddie theme. In fact they seem to have the exact same theme, its just an art style difference.
I think both look cool in their own, way, but from what I've been reading, many are saying the Wii version is better. Probably because of the controls and the unique art style.
Madworld was very cartoony. Yet it definitely isn't a kiddie game. I actually only played it after my kids were in bed.
You sir seem to be the child and by your logic should only be playing a Wii.

How many kids know the ghostbusters these days?

If the PS360 version is open world and looks like that, I may get it if it has the same content as the Wii version of course without waggle. =P
I'm Unamerica and you can too.

my 5 and 6 yr olds absolutely love both GB movies. They watched them countless times. I'm buying the game because I think it will be really good and I want it, but as a bonus I'm sure my kids will be all over it.
