Forums - Sales - Japan Charts Week 16 (04/13/09 - 04/19/09)

Deca Sports 2 got owned in Japan haha. Wow Japanese Wii gamers really are taking it to these devs.

Monster Hunter G should still do better but at least the Japanese Wii owners are looking at the devs and saying "No". More power to them.

Deca Sports 2 sales are abysmal.

I really MHG doesn't flop too.

Considering that preorders for this game are rising, I doubt it will fail, but that IS quite low.  Still if Deca Sports wasn't that much of a big IP, at least it means the mini-game collections won't dominate the system forever.

Much it still sold pretty well and you'd think it at least would be able to match the sales with a much larger userbase.

At Zlejedi,

Mini-game collections (especially from third party) do not sell that good in Japan. Deca Sports was kind of an exception but the sequel failed really hard.

Wii Play, Mario Party 8, Warioware, etc. All have sold well in Japan.

You can't really knock people for not falling for the same bad game a second though.

I suppose that's a good thing, but it's not necessarily true (i.e Game Party 2, when Game Party was much worse than Deca Sports).

I'm talkin' about Deca Sports 2, not Game Party 2.  I was referring the the one game specifically, not making a general statement.
