lol This is like hating your toyota truck because it doesn't give you 50 MPG. Well no other truck does either so get over it. You should just buy a new one and factor that into the cost of moving to a new country. All your old games will still work on the new one. Bitching is gonna get you no where.

Ummm, you bought in German, right? i've heard that German PS3 is somewhat coded for german only(my PSN friend from germany said that), because of huge censorship in the country. That's why for everyone else(including me) all accounts for any country works fine, but not your. That's what I think.

Possible but unlikely for the German ps3 to have some extra locks, but definitely not unable to play imports on the whole. I have a few friends in Germany who import pretty frequently.

Since it sounds a lot like network problems more than anything else, why not try connecting the ps3 at a friend's place or similar?

I hate that I can't play online anymore in many cases. I bought these games legally, no Sony is destroying my investment. For WHAT? What gives them the right to do so?

And what me really bothers too, is that the games I buy here have ONLY japanese as language in the most cases. AND I can play them OFFLINE on my console, but not online. So SCREWED UP everything....

ORLY ?! Games in japan are japanese ? Humm aren't games in germany dubbed to german ? that's gotta be equally annoying for anyone not german moving to germany.

Well, European releases often have various language option because all of those languages are official for one or another European country, and English is universal for those countries whose language is missing from the game.

But the whole of Japan speaks Japanese and English is a foreign language there, finding it in a Japanese release game is more of a bonus rather than something you'd normally expect.

very easy... create a new Japanese psn account and copy all your configuration and save files into the new account... all you have lost is trophies information... all games will connect now to local servers... as for languages you can import games from every where because ps3 games arent region lock...
