I hate that I can't play online anymore in many cases. I bought these games legally, no Sony is destroying my investment. For WHAT? What gives them the right to do so?

And what me really bothers too, is that the games I buy here have ONLY japanese as language in the most cases. AND I can play them OFFLINE on my console, but not online. So SCREWED UP everything....

u can create sub accounts though, and buy as you wish since use credit cards directly.

though i recommend only putting money in your psn account when you are going to buy something and the exact amount.

@op it looks like its a japanese thing only, likely your ISP interfering with you making contact with outside japan servers.

i  can access game with europeans (blazinghead, staude) without a problem. and my friend aleks in LBP And killzone 2.

also its not only sony problem if that the case since with 360 and wii u can't play international games either. so if you want to even play those game even offline u have to buy a japanese console.

Of course you can, unless you move your console to another country.

At least you can still buy Japanese games, as the ps3 is region free. Imagine if you had brought a German Wii or 360 with you.

Does the situation suck? Totally, but there's no better option out there, outside of PC gaming.

I'd suggest making a Japanese PSN account. It may let you play these games via Japanese servers. Of course, it may not, but if it does, all you've lost is your trophy collection.

I am owner of US LBP and live in Russia playing it online from Russian account. Maybe you have got some network connection issues? Check your NAT status and call your internet provider.

Also try to change system default language to Jap.

Sell it on ebay and buy a japanese console.

thats why we think the title it's misleading because you would be worse state it was a 360 or wii since u can't even play japanese games. offline

I think you should talk with Sony support becouse i know tons of people who imported US consoles into Poland and they play without problems.

Have you tried contacting Sony and explaining your situation?
