Not terrible rankings (thank god FF7 was not no.1).

Swap 10 and 12 around and you'd have a list that I would agree on (though it wouldn't be my list personally).

I have a feeling that the following list will be very unpopular.

1. Final Fantasy IX

2. Final Fantasy XII

3. Final Fantasy VII

4. Final Fantasy VIII

5. Final Fantasy X

(To try and defend myself, I enjoyed the gameplay, music, and aspects of the story, but IMO this game has the worst characters (and character designs) in the entire series)

6. Final Fantasy XI (Never played it, never will)

I always have mixed feelings between 7 + 9 and always change my mind on which i prefer...

But good list

12 should be in last 2 and 10 should be top 3

It's funny that no one can agree with a certain list, yet. I guess we need a bigger sample here! ^^

What was not wrong with FF12?

- The representation and perfection of the Final Fantasy universe (races, weapons, magicks, etc. name them);
- The refined battle system (finally, thank god);
- The music (especially);
- The Gambits (yes, I said it. Finally, I don't have to give the same commands that I would give over and over again ANYWAYS);
- etc.

Sure, the story was average, but when gameplay makes up for the story, then I'm all for it! =P

To be honest, I'd like to hear yours. I betcha you're one of those people that can't enjoy a game for what it is and not what it should have been, eh? =P

I'm just wondering.

   It doesnt seem like the author played XI. A lot of people who have played it say the game has one of the best storyline (or more like short stories, or something) in the series. I have never played XI myself but it just doesnt feel right to write such an article without playing one of the games being discussed.

   That's why I do not approve of this article and list.
