Sega to support End of Eternity for the next decade?

According to reports from Kotaku and Famitsu, at a press event in Tokyo today Sega pledged to support the franchise for the next ten years. Apparently Sega called End of Eternity, developed by tri-Ace, a “truly epic title” and that they would support it for years to come.
I’m not one to doubt either Kotaku or Famitsu - just I haven’t actually seen any solid quotes saying “support for the next ten years” on either site. In fact, the Famitsu page said bugger all.
But there is a good chance that Sega is willing to support the franchise for many years to come. I guess it will depend on how well the game is received and how those sales figures turn out. Remember what happened to another epic Japanese franchise Sega “promised” to support… *cough*Shenmue*cough*
So if you want to see more tri-Ace/Sega collaboration on the RPG, then you’d best buy several copies of End of Eternity and ensure that they keep up the franchise.
