Snes. PS1 had some good games. Better Snes had more good games. Snes also had the most Final Fantasies and the best FF in FF6.
Not to mention the best Star Wars game ever. Super Empire Strikes back. God that was good.
it's sad but i never "owned" either console. i have only played a few games on the snes (i wasn't in to games yet) and got an N64 instead of the PS. however from the games i have played, the SNES wins. it has so many great games.
PS2 = SNES > PS1
I prefer PS1 over SNES. But both systems are great.

Snes, though I like PS1 as well.
I love the SNES and dont care too much for the PS1 but PS1 had a mix of 2D and 3D games so it wins based on variety.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

end of story.
Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6). This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
