Even if it magically runs out of power...who cares?

Best games for me in 2009 thus far are ninja blade and halo wars... and neither are pushing the limits of whats possible on the 360.

As long as games are being made that are innovative, fun and challenging...they can come out for the Sega Genesis for all i care.

Are you a fortune teller or something. How can you predict the future. THe exclusives are great this year and do better than PS3 exclusives in sales. Plus when the Xbox had the best graphics last gen SONY fanboys didnt give a shit. Now it seems they have changed.... Pathetic

Not sure if I came to the same conclusion as you, but I believe that developers are stretching the truth before their games come out, in order to hype their game up. They make blanket statements about maxing out the hardware, and don't tell the fine details of what they mean, and then afterwards they say that they were taken out of context or were wrong, and the system still has more potential. Of course there will be a point where the improvements become so miniscule that it isn't noteworthy, but I doubt that point has been reached.

I thought that was pretty obvious, only blind fanboys actually believe that the 360 is maxed out.

Yeah, I think the point is always to hype the next game... After a game is out, you want people to think the next one will look even better.

Not uncharted and killzone 2.

Remember Naughty dog and GG said their games use 30% and 60%... jsut cause they are so badass and dont want to blow our minds with the full power of the Cell.

ps2 was fairly crappy, but look at some of the games it put out.

this generation isnt anywhere near over, so we should see improvement from all consoles(hopefully a lot more from one console, since imo what its putting out is extremely less than what it should be capable of)

However Uncharted 2 uses 100% (since it didn't come out yet) :P

KZ2 seems like an exception to the rule, it only used 60% even before it came out.

I fully agree but if they can get better than already been produced, this gen could be quite interesting.
