I have been waiting for this game for awhile because I want to see how the 45+ year old golfers-dads react to it ... Just knowing how some of the guys I used to work with act I could totally see one of them brining a Wii home one friday and selling it to their wife as it was a "Present for the kids"

this one of the few games i actually want, after getting tired of the 9 holes on wii golf. i've never played golf as computer games before wii golf, since, you know, you're really adjusting adjusting the power meter and stuff which is just, for the lack of a better word, lame. but golf with motion control... actually makes me want to go to the driving range. hmm, funny how things works.

That is a pretty cool ad. Shows off the real purpose/use of the Wii nicely :) Its going to do Nintendo a world of good if other publishers create Wii-based ads like that. The focal point being on the Wii/controller, rather than just the game itself.

Read the reviews before you buy. I was reading on it. It has 2 debilitating problems. 1. If you breathe wrong when your hands are up for the back stroke... you 'swing' 2. There is no power gauge, so you don't know how hard your gonna hit the ball. Your gonna constantly overshoot, or... well... not really gonna swing at all.

Where did you get your review from?

N-Gamer UK gave it 60%, according to www.gamerankings.com http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/934378.asp http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/tigerwoodspgatour07 Anymore I'm not sure we're ever going to see a consistent base of review scores for Wii games, it just doesn't seem like the reviewers are even playing the same game sometimes. I say this because of SSX Blur (52-85), Red Steel (40-75), Sonic (55-86), Elebits (51-85), and even Madden 07 (56-90). Edit : updated list

I don't think this is where Kwaad got his review from. It only has one review site, but it doesn't have a link so there's no article. Kwaad seems to have found an article and I just want to know where he got it from so I can read it and decide for myself.

I think it would be interesting to take an average of scores on all Wii games for particular sites/reviewers ... From the handful of reviews I have read (I'm not a big review person) many of the negative ones could be paraphrased as "I don't like the direction Nintendo has decided to go in; 4/10" and some of the more glowing ones could be paraphrased as "I could do the exact same thing by pressing a button, but Waggle makes it awsome!" To put it another way ... looking at reviews for Wii games is kind of like taking 3 hard-core conservatives, 3 insane socialists and 4 people off of the street and getting them to rate the speeches of Pro-Life advocates ...
