I am sure S-E wouldn't do something like that to their flagship title, it will come out just fine in the end I believe. It will just have 5+ discs and I am getting to PS3 version unless the 360 shows it is more deserving of my purchase which it doesn't seeing as how Versus is on PS3 as well.

My 20GB 360 can't hold 5 installs, which is like 33.5GB.

Lost Odyssey has about 15 hours of cinematics. It came on 4 discs.

I doubt this game being the same size as Lost Odyssey. 

There is such an obvious difference in quality of the two titles.

I would be surprised if it was only 4 discs.

I understand that FF13 will have more graphics. It's 2 years between them. But Lost Odyssey had far more cinematics than previous FF games. It's cinematics that take the room in Jrpg's. So I think it will be similar in size of game.

As for quality of game. FF13 has alot to stand up to to beat LO. Considering where I rank LO. :)

 

Well considering where the rest of the world ranks LO I would say it doesn't have too much to stand up to. Final Fantasy has been a AAA franchise while LO isn't.

I would also doubt seeing FFXIII with LO's god awful load times.

As for what I've heard, the rest of the world ranks it as this saying:

"If Lost Odyssey had Final Fantasy in its name, it would be AAA on metacritic. Its like FFX's twin brother."

Personally I've never played LO, so either doesn't mean much to me. But I just know that where "the world" ranks Tales of Vesperia is far lower then it should be, if by "the world" you mean critics.

 



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

"World" as in gamers, not critics.

Of course it won't speak for everyone as there are some who think LO is one of the greatest JRPG's to ever arrive on home consoles. I personally wouldn't rank it any higher if it had "Final Fantasy" as it's name. I rank FFXII low enough as it is.

Something to talk about?

I might be getting it on PS3 but it does not mean that I do not care for the 360 version's quality.

JRPG are doing bad enough as it is this gen, last thing we need is a JRPG flagship title such as Final Fantasy having issues. We JRPG fans want to see as many sales as possible.

They are selling less than the average last generation. Just compare previous Star Ocean titles to Star Ocean: The Last Hope and compare Tales of Vesperia to previous Tales titles.

ummm, they was released on 360 and not on PS2 that's the main reason. And as we all know most of 360 users are FPS lovers. ToS 2 on Wii did great in sales, well maybe not like PS2 titles but better then Vesperia. Let's see how PS3 version will sell. :)
