Ms still didn't recoup the Xbox 1 losses, the 360 is dead in Japan (1 million vs 4 million PS3), and most recent multiplatform games sell more on PS3 worldwide (RE5, SF4...).

I highly doubt it's enough to convince MS shareholders to go on with the gaming market. That was never MS core market anyway, and they're bleeding too much money in every business right now (Zune failure vs Ipod, Yahoo bid failure, IE losing market share to Firefox Safari and Chrome, Vista failure, Office losing market share vs Open Office).

 

I can't agree with you at the slightest.  The Xbox 360 has sold awesome and yes they have already made money on the 360 compared to the Xbox.

 

Saying we will not see a next Xbox is blasphemy.  With the sales going how they are and Microsoft being #2 in the console war, I think it's more obvious to see another Xbox than another PlayStation.

Microsoft across pretty much all their product lines like to create (market leader + refinements) type products until they become the market leader.  They created a better ps2 with the xbox 360, and now that the market leader is the wii I think they are going to create a better wii.

 

1.  Xbox Freestyle

2.  Christmas 2010

3.  New motion controlers, a snes->psx type of upgrade from the wii's motion controllers

4.  Very good shot

5.  Zune line will become their handheld
