Forums - Sales - What If: FPS/3PS games sold good on the Wii?

What's with the doom mention? Well, at least it's like the greatest game of all time.

Around the Network

Keep Doom out of this, you'll make it look bad next to Wii! Sorry, couldn't resist, I just felt it was so wrong to put Doom in there.

Also, why is no one screaming 'lock this, no one wants to discuss this' or something like that? Usually I hear that when some negative 'if' case about Wii is being discussed (you know, the most recent I can remember being 'what if GC was Nintendo's last home console' or something like that). Are only positive ifs possible with Wii?

And to return to the topic. It's pretty obvious that 3rd party devs would be shifting towards Wii once they could be sure about it. First they'd see how their games do on HD consoles and if they don't do well, they'd shift towards Wii. Pretty simple I think. Maybe Wii would be even more popular, with all the FPS/TPS fans buying the console. It really depends on how HD consoles would do, or rather, what kind of games they would get.

FPS and 3PS first have to appear on the Wii platform in order to sell, most FPS's did sell well: Red Steel, MH:H2 (considering it is a PSP shared game), CoD 3 and CoD 5.
