Forums - Nintendo - Virtua Tennis HandsOn: "I understand our competitors are using... buttons?"

"To do a lob, you just... do a lob."

"As soon as you've made the subtle shift in perspective - as soon as you've understood that the machine is no longer reading sign-language in your gestures, it's actually following your movements from one microsecond to the next - it clicks. And it's extraordinarily natural."

Virtua Tennis 2009 on the Wii will not require buttons if you play with WM+. This is pretty damn awesome. There's no way I'm going to be able to pick either this or Grand Slam before seeing reviews and reactions. What a deliciously agonizing choice.

Oh cool. I was looking at VT2009 preview on Nintendo Channel and on the more information it didn't list WM+. I was like so Sega isn't going to use WM+?  Add this game to my growing wish list...

Where does the 'click' come from, exactly?

If this has online, I may be tempted to get it over GST... although EA's games tend to use EA Nation instead of Friend Codes...

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Both games will have online. EA's should be good because EA usually does pretty damn good with online, while Virtua Tennis Wii is confirmed to have absolutely all the content in the HD versions of the game (minus graphics and plus motion controls, of course), including all the online functionality.

Virtua tennis will have the same online as the HD virtua tennis.

Hmm, The wii virtua tennis will probably be higher rated then the hd ones. Wii= next gen ps3/xbox360= current gen

(in motion games only though XD)
