Why I am buying on 360.

1. All my other square enix games on 360.

2. ACHIEVEMENTS >>>>>>>>> Trophies.

3. LO looks awesome with different disc pictures. I kinda want the same with FF13.

4. All my JRPG'sthis gen are on 360.

I'm miffed that Versus 13 isnt on 360. Iwantedto keep my main collection on the system with the most Jrpg's. Hopefully it will come later.

Besides Endof Eternity looks better in my opinion. :)

Trophies pictures look cooler too and they appear on the upper-rigth corner of the screen when you get them, not in the middle of the freaking action lol.

Just as you say, trophies categories : bronze, silver, gold and platinum tell a lot more information and make all the differences for the ones collecting them.

Which doesn't change the fact that it's poor placement and annoying?

The poor placement thing is subject to opinion (I like achievements and want to see them when I get them) but if you're griping about the little box, it's not something to take up with MS achievements in general, it's something to take up with the developer.

They choose when and where to award you the achievement or trophy.  If they do it at a bad time or place that is completely their fault and has nothing to do with the achievement system.

1) Some people care about achievements.  Very few people care about trophies due to lack of support.

2) I, and many others, prefer the 360 controller over the ps3 controller.  I couldn't care less if the game is on one blu-ray disc.  I'm not so fat and lazy that I can't get up and spend 5 seconds changing discs.  Superior audio?  Guess that's a reason if you care.  Not a whole lot of people have a setup capable of even telling the difference.
