Forums - Website Topics - Should we get an Apple Forum?

I'd say PC forum, unless you're talking about something related to sales or gaming.

And seriously, if people troll, report their asses. They'll either learn to post more constructively, or stay out of Apple threads, or eventually earn themselves a permaban.

It would be nice to avoid it altogether, but alright.

seriously, do you think they wouldn't troll just because we put it in a Apple forum?

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Which makes me think of another idea that I'm sure has been thrown around. Why not be able to ban certain users from just going to particular boards? :P

You're right though, I didn't think about that. Oh well.

Not really a tax; it is more like paying more for a name brand. I could buy off brand food and it pretty much taste the same or I could spend more money and buy name brand. Some name brands think they are worth more than others even if they aren't as reliable, taste any better, etc... Although there are name brands that can sort of justify their added costs.

Why consider creating an Apple forum, when even PC gamers barely use the PC forum to discuss things they´re interested in.

WoW, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and a few other topsellers like Empire: Total War seem to be the only games discussed there (but even those get about 2% of the attention of some random Wii game), the rest is a few tech discussions and the weekly “Help me assembling my new PC” or “Should I buy this laptop and can it run my favorite FPS?” threads.
New PC games are merely discussed here and the only threads that get more than 20 answers are usually shio´s quarterly (and entertaining) “my PC is longer than all your consoles combined” threads.

Let´s face it: This is a console site. Even handheld discussions (outside GTA and Final Fantasy games) usually die within a few answers (this reminds me that I haven´t see a “Recommend me some good DS games” in at least 3 days).

I´m currently playing “Ceville” on my notebook, by the way (great game), and I´m posting this on my iMac. Best of both worlds.

Its completely unnecessary. It would be even less used than the PC forum.

This is a gaming site. The forums should be about gaming in general.

Very few people game on apple machines.

It would make far more sense to make a Sega forum.

Are you excluding the iPod Phone/Touch from this? If you weren't excluding them, I've always been wondering about the software sales on them, and if you have anything, that'd be great to see. They were a part of the idea for the forum anyways.

I guess I expected to see a few more Mac users on this site, especially ones who play in the iPod Phone/Touch. If there really aren't any people here like that, or if only very few, then I agree that making an Apple Forum would be somewhat of a waste.

*Light bulb goes off*
@ those who say we dont have apple fans.

But it will attract apple fans just like you me and everyone else were attracted for a specific reason making the website more popular ! Can you imagine the new breed of flame threads!!
