U mean that the number of releases of a franchise has a huge significance and u can't just compare the total numbers?

Yeah, because sales per game is a far better comparison. Need for Speed wouldn't be as high if they only released 5 or 6 titles like GT has.

Lol well i basically said the same thing in reply to twingo earlier...
I think it is safe to say that the number of titles is not as big a factor since you could take the three best selling GT titles and pit them against the halo titles using my formula to find out average games per console.

A 100%!! When GT5 releases we will know for sure which is more popular, i really don't think GT5 will sell more than halo 3, it seems rather impossible.

US or worldwide? I believe over 90% of Halo 3 sales are in the US.

But need for speed was fun when they had the cops and stuff.....oh well...I think i should bring up the fact the Gt5 Prolouge does not seem to be exploding at it's seams while Halo 3 was #7 in top xbox 360 sales in march 2009 acording to Kotaku.

Got to love the irony, what does it say in your sig about Alan Wake? Is there a release date for that? No.

Do you see me making threads about games coming out in 2016? no

Here is another reason Halo is more popular. You can turn Halo into any genre, like Halo Wars. GT is same genre for generations. So PC Halos, Halo movie and multiple Halo genres alone is more popular :)

9,443,724 million? That would mean it sold almost 9.5 trillion copies! I know what you mean though, just messin'.
